NEW – 18 CE In-Person Workshop!

This immersive three-day CEU training equips behavioral health professionals with the practica skills and ethical foundation needed to effectively support families through the interventions process. Blending evidence-based theory with hands-on practice, participants will learn intervention models, systems-oriented family approaches, Motivational Interviewing, crisis recognition and de-escalation, and strategies for managing resistance and relapse. Through interactive workshops, real-world case studies, and guided role-plays, clinicians will strengthen their confidence in planning, facilitating, and documenting interventions while collaborating with treatment and aftercare providers. Designed for social workers, counselors, psychologists, and related professionals, this training emphasizes skill integration, clinical sustainability, and real-world application.

Adam Finley, MA, MSW, LICSWA, CIP is a master’s Level Clinician, who is also a Certified Intervention Professional with years of professional and personal experience specializing in addiction recovery. Adam brings an impressive academic background with dual master’s degrees in Social Work and Behavioral Health. He is the owner of Family-Centered Services, a comprehensive case management and intervention company in Washington State.

Tara Rosenthal (Rayburn), MSW, LICSW, QMHP, CADCIII, CIP, CAI is the founder of Sisu Healing Partners and brings extensive experience in eating disorders, addiction recovery, mental health support, and case management. Her leadership and vision are the foundation of the compassionate, holistic care that Sisu Healing Partners is known for. Taralynn emphasizes collaboration and transparency, believing that lasting recovery is built on trust, honesty, and community. With a professional background as both a Therapist and Clinical Director in a treatment setting.

This presentation is appropriate for: clinical professionals, psychologists, therapists, counselors, and social workers.

OBJECTIVES: After this workshop, you will be able to:

1. Compare and contrast major intervention models (Johnson, ARISE, CRAFT) and explain how the INVITE Method complements these approaches in family-focused crisis intervention.

2. Apply evidence-based communication and motivational interviewing techniques to engage individuals and families, including teaching the INVITE Method to clients in a clear, structured, and compassionate way.

3. Identify and assess immediate safety risks, emotional triggers, and family dynamics, and implement the INVITE steps to stabilize high-risk crisis situations.

4. Demonstrate ethical, legally-informed decision-making and risk management practices, including confidentiality, mandated reporting, consent, and boundaries, while using interventions and the INVITE framework.

5. Develop and present an integrated intervention plan that incorporates model selection, family engagement, crisis management with INVITE, collaboration with treatment providers, documentation, and clinician self-care strategies.
