Partner With A Social Work CE Provider
Shine Continuing Education maintains the highest standards of continuing education courses for social workers while bypassing long wait times and accreditations.
Welcome,
My name is Jumana Grassi Murphy, Director of Continuing Education for Shine Psychotherapy, an Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Provider.
My staff and I partner with clinicians, educators, treatment programs, and professional organizations to develop and deliver exceptional continuing education programs for licensed social workers.
Shine Continuing Education provides guidance on CE courses from start to finish across educational formats:
One-time workshops
Multi-session trainings
Professional conferences
Our goal is to partner with you or your organization in making the CE process efficient and straightforward while ensuring each educational activity meets applicable ASWB ACE continuing education standards. We can partner with practitioners in all 50 states.
This website provides information about continuing education partnership services, outlines the materials needed to develop a CE activity, and allows prospective presenters and organizations to submit CE courses for potential partnership.
If you're interested in partnering with Shine Continuing Education or have questions about offering CEs through our organization, I'm happy to connect directly. Please use the contact form below and I'll be in touch.
“Jumana and Heather have been absolutely wonderful to work with! Teaching continuing education courses has been a longtime goal of mine and they made it possible through a seamless collaborative process. Together, we’ve been able to take my content and turn it into a valuable learning experience for so many therapists!”
Yes, We Can Partner With Social Workers In All 50 States
You don't need to go through ASWB or the NY State Board yourself — Shine Continuing Education partners with licensed social workers and organizations to validate CE accreditation for courses and conferences in all 50 states, including New York, where staff are approved providers through the NYS Education Department State Board for Social Work. New York is currently the only state requiring certification outside of ASWB.
This includes New Jersey , which began accepting ACE provider CEs as of April 15, 2024, after previously requiring state-level CEU approval outside of ACE. Even when a social work board accepts courses offering ASWB ACE credit, licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. States and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether any individual course may be accepted for credit.

Bypass the typical wait time for approval, which is at least 90 days
Find affordable, flexible options—especially for conferences who intend to provide multiple CE courses or sessions.
Ensure the highest professional and academic standards

Yes. we provide two fee structures based on your needs:
A one-time fee of $400 for in-person CE courses or $600 for virtual CE courses OR
A percentage fee for each CE certificate awarded through your CE course (i.e. number of attendees).
For comparison, ASWB charges a one-time $150 fee and a $125 fee per course or conference session with a wait period of at least 90 days. In New York state, courses or sessions are not approved individually, you must become an approved provider, which requires a $900 fee to review an application, with no guarantee of approval.
-
By partnering with an approved provider by both the ASWB and NY State Board, your continuing education course for social workers will instantly be certified. However, we must consult on the course to ensure that it meets the highest level of professional and academic standards for CE accreditation. Typical turnaround time for our initial review is 1 week.
For reference, approval for CEs through ASWB has a typical wait time of at least 90 days and direct accreditation through NYS as a provider of continuing education also requiresa 90-day wait period.
-
Upon completion of the workshop and evaluation, certificates will be issued via email within approximately three (3) business days.
-
No. By partnering with us, you are considered an instructor under Shine Continuing Education. We partner with you in the creation, planning, and promotion of courses regardless of if a Shine staff member is present for an in-person or virtual CE.

No, partial credit can not be given. Participation is required for the entirety of the workshop, even if it occurs over the course of multiple days. Conferences may require participation in all courses, or the entirety of each chosen workshop. Learners must sign in and out to provide proof of full attendance.
-
Refunds are available up to 7 days before the course or session presentation. Extenuating circumstances can be considered.
Note: Refunds will not be given if a CE is not deemed valid. Licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. States and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether any individual course may be accepted for credit. New York does not accept ASWB ACE provider or course/conference approval, but Shine Psychotherapy is also an approved provider by the New York State Education Department SBSW.
